Clark G. Warden, MD, FACS,  a native New Orleanian, is a graduate of De La Salle High School, Tulane University School of Engineering and Tulane University School of Medicine. He completed his surgical residency at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1989. He is board certified in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care and is a Fellow of The American College of Surgeons. Dr. Warden joins us from South Mississippi where he spent 14 years building the leading general surgery practice in the region. He was instrumental in the development of advanced laparoscopic surgery on the Gulf Coast. While in Mississippi, he developed one of the nation’s most comprehensive laparoscopic weight loss surgery programs which attracted patients from all over the country. He is active in the American Society of Bariatric Surgery and has been involved in the training of bariatric techniques to other surgeons. He is listed in Best Doctors in America, Southeast Region and Guide To America’s Top Physicians.
Dr. Clark G. Warden has been approved as an ASMBS Center Of Excellence Bariatric Surgeon. This accreditation recognizes Dr. Warden as one of the most experienced surgeons with the lowest rate of complications, whose program offers a wide range multi-disciplinary approach that gives patients the tools to be successful before and after surgery. He is also a national proctor for the LAP-BAND and laparoscopic gastric bypass.
