State’s Largest Weight Loss Surgery Practice Celebrates Merger with an Open House in Lafayette, Louisiana

COVINGTON, LA –The Surgical Specialists of Louisiana (SSL) celebrated its recent merger with an Open House earlier this month. Drs. Tom Lavin, Michael Thomas, Matt French, Rachel Moore, Clark Warden and Jimmy Redmann from the Covington office welcomed new surgeons Drs. Gary Stevens, Uyen Chu and Carson Cunningham at a Ribbon Cutting and Luncheon at the new office located at 4212 West Congress Street Suite 2100 in Lafayette, Louisiana. Approximately 100 guests were in attendance.

Dr. Chu explained the exciting opportunities the merging of their practice with SSL in Covington offers the State of Louisiana. “This bariatric surgery delivery model allows us to operate our practice more effectively while providing physician coverage with the highest quality of care possible in South Louisiana.” Dr. Lavin added, “At the end of the day, it is all about our patients. With the addition of Drs.
